Fracture

(Also known as: Broken bone)

Fracture

What to do: If you suspect you have a fracture, try to keep the injured area immobile to prevent further damage.
Immobilize the fracture by using a splint or by securing the injured limb to a stable support.
Apply ice to the injured area to help reduce swelling and alleviate pain, but avoid placing the ice directly on the skin. Seek immediate medical attention for a proper diagnosis and appropriate treatment of the fracture.
