Asthma Attack
(Also known as: asthma episode, or flare up)

What to do: If you're experiencing an asthma attack, remain as calm as possible to help control your breathing. Use your prescribed rescue inhaler, typically a short-acting bronchodilator, following the instructions provided by your healthcare provider. Sit upright and focus on slow, deep breaths, attempting to exhale fully between breaths. If symptoms persist or worsen, seek emergency medical attention immediately, and contact your healthcare provider for further guidance on managing your asthma.
